Westword Music Showcase

In 1995, Westword introduced the first Music Awards Showcase event in Denver to celebrate the best local bands in the city. The resurrection of Lower Downtown and the national success of several local artists have enabled Westword’s Music Showcase to become one of Denver’s premier music festivals, attracting people from a wide range of ages and musical tastes. The Golden Triangle has proved an ideal location for Showcse for the past four years.
This annual celebration of talent makes the Denver music scene dynamic and recognizes dozens of local bands in a variety of categories. The Showcase begins with choosing this year’s top local bands, which is a process that calls for broad community involvement in both the nomination and selection segments.
