Denver Roller Dolls Karaoke Gong Show

Come one come all! Gong Karaoke is back in style! What is Gong karaoke you ask? Well it’s only the best kind of karaoke around! People sign up to sing a song, and if someone does not like the song or just wants to get them off stage they will donate $3 dollars to the league to hit the gong to get them off stage! The Denver Roller Dolls will be hitting the high notes at Bender’s Tavern in downtown Denver on June 8th, 2010 at 9 PM. Show up supporting your favorite travel team by wearing the colors of that team (Mile High Club is blue and silver, Bruising Altitude is purple). Or just wear any Denver Roller Dolls gear! All this fun while supporting the league, having delicious beverages, and singing your heart out! Bring a friend, bring your family, and best yet bring yourself! Please note it is 21+; you must have ID to enter.

Denver Roller Dolls Beer Launch Party!

When: May 27th, 6:00-9:00 pm
Where: Wynkoop Brewing Company, 1634 18th Street, Denver
What: Launch of DRD’s limited edition pre-prohibition style lager.
Why: Because $1.00 of every pint sold helps fund DRD and our organization and helps keep girls on skates.
Details: Wynkoop will serve DRD’s new beer from 5/27 until all 35 kegs are gone (about 8 weeks). Each pint will cost $5.00, and includes a commemorative DRD/Wynkoop glass. On 5/27, each pint purchased will give the purchaser one vote for the ten final names (from our Facebook contest) - and the winning name at the end of the night will be the name of DRD’s beer!

Join us for the 4th Annual Miles-for-Smiles 5K run/walk and Adaptive Dash! Denver Roller Dolls will be at this event assisting in helping the race run smoothly.
The 4th Annual Miles for Smiles 5K Run/Walk will be on May 23, 2010 at 9 a.m. The race is being held at Broomfield Commons Park. The scenic course is mostly on open space trails and has a beautiful view of the mountains. The race will start and end at the all purpose turf field in the middle Broomfield Commons. The race benefits the Two Angels Foundation, a foundation that helps provide adaptive recreational equipment to physically disabled children in Colorado.

For those of you staying in Broomfield, for some more derby fun walk on over to the aloft Hotel wxyz Bar for some after bout fun with the Denver Roller Dolls! 15% of the bar sales goes toward the league!
For anyone heading towards Denver after the bout, join us at Club Sinsations, 753 Santa Fe (between 7th and 8th on the West side of Santa Fe) for drinks and music with your favorite Denver Roller Dolls! 20% of the bar sales goes toward the league!
