Excitement and energy filled the entire store at Mod Livin's 2nd
Annual Best in Show event on March 28th. A variety of businesses,
artists, and of course, your very own Denver Roller Dolls, decorated
Eero Aarnio plastic puppies, provided by Mod Livin', to raise money
for the Downtown Animal Care Foundation, the charity assists low-income
Coloradoans in paying for their pet care bills. A silent auction
took place throughout the night, but the highlight was the rapid-fire
live auctioneering that had paddles rising, fingers pointing and
bidders cheering. The Denver Roller DollsÕ contribution, "Kibbles & Bitch"
was auctioned off for $220 dollars! She also won the on-line voting
competition featured on Mod Livin's website. It was hard for the
Dolls to part with "Kibbles" but the Dolls' contribution
found a loving home and helped raise money for a great foundation.

the Bad Apples square off against the Green Barrettes for bragging
rights in the Denver Coliseum.
The first period was a close battle with the score being Green Barrettes

with the return of Bad Apple mega-blocker Primal Rage and the Green
Barrette bruiser Mo Betta Bruise slamming into skaters left and right.
In the second, the Green Barrettes showed some real strategy containing
the Bad Apples' jammers and limiting their scoring to 21 pts, while
the Green Barrettes racked up 51 pts for the scoreboard.
Angela Death had another amazing bout with a total of 43 pts, while
Jersey Trouble skated off with an impressive 36 pts. Fiona Grapple

14 pts, 34 defensive blocks and 7 whips.
The final score was 116 Green Barrettes and 85 Bad Apples. In the
spirit of true sportswomanship, Captains Boo Boo Radley and Fiona
Grapple split the trophy and shared a big smile to the crowd's cheers.
