Denver Roller Dolls taught basic skating skills to a local Cub Scout troop this week.
March 2nd, 2010 - At the Wagon Wheel Skate Center in Brighton earlier this week, several members of the Denver Roller Dolls spent an evening with a local Cub Scout troop teaching the young men (6-7 years old) the basics of roller skating. The evening started off with November “Bria Fraid” James, whose son is one of the Cub Scouts, explaining the fundamentals of safety gear, including knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards, and helmets. The Roller Dolls then each partnered up with a Cub Scout to provide one-on-one attention.
This session was part of a program to help the Cub Scouts earn their badges in roller skating. To earn this badge, Cub Scouts must complete three hours of roller skate training.
