Denver Roller Dolls Invited to Regionals!
ShareSecond quarter 2010 Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) rankings place the Denver Roller Dolls at 3rd in the Western Region.
Following the all-important WFTDA second quarter rankings, the Denver Roller Dolls all-star team, the Mile High Club, has been invited to the West Region Playoffs in Sacramento, California, October 1st-3rd.
The Mile High Club is composed of up to 20 of the league’s finest skaters, who compete on a National level. From their first bout against the Kansas City Roller Warriors in August 2006, they have come a long way to take the bronze medal at the WFTDA National Championship in 2009. Now MHC is hoping for a repeat appearance at the WFTDA Championship 2010, which will be held in Chicago, Illinois, November 5th-7th. But to make it to the Championship, they must first finish in the top three at the West Region Playoffs. The 10 participant leagues are listed below, in order of seeding:
1. Oly Rollers (Olympia, WA)
2. Rocky Mountain Rollergirls (Denver, CO)
3. Denver Roller Dolls
4. Rose City Rollers (Portland, OR)
5. Rat City Rollergirls (Seattle, WA)
6. B.ay A.rea D.erby Girls (San Francisco, CA)
7. Jet City Rollergirls (Everett, WA)
8. Duke City Derby (Albuquerque, NM)
9. Tucson Roller Derby
10. Sacred City Derby Girls (Sacramento, CA)
