BIO//Dumptruck, born Robert Emerson Stroupe II in Hattiesburg, MS 18JAN1980, got his start in voice work in Memphis, TN as on air talent for 92.9 WMFS. Since moving to Denver, he’s continued to shake things up. Known for his deep raspy voice, sense of humor, and willingness to do just about anything, Dumptruck has emerged as a staple in Denver’s events community. He’s been an announcer for the Denver Roller Dolls and other women’s roller derby leagues around the country for the last 4 years. What started out as something fun to do has turned him into Denver’s event emcee. You’ve seen him emceeing events for PBR, 42 Below Vodka, the Denver Tattoo Convention, and various dance troupes. He was the national emcee for 2008's Southern Comfort Music Experience along side artists like Gnarles Barkley, The Roots, Common, Justice, and Black Keys. In 2009 he was on the road again with Southern Comfort Under Cover tour with DJ Lord, Polyphonic Spree, and Ghostland Observatory. Dumptruck has even made his way to television. This past winter on the DIY network you can find him emceeing a portion of a show called “Disaster House”. With his event emcee career in full bloom, he’s now pursuing the life of a voice over actor. Keep your ears open, you’ll be hearing more from him soon.
ATHLETIC BACKGROUND//Dumptruck's athletic background is in football, rugby, and Greco Roman wrestling. The after parties hurt so much the next day he might be able to include them as well.
